When Nils have been borned I knew it it instantly that he is the male after my wonderful Eliot. I was so happy about his development and also about his wonderful temper. But when he has been vaccinated the first time, the veterinary heard a cardiac murmur. We thought it is because he is still young and we've decided to screen him later.
Unfortunately all our hopes has been destroyed in springtime 2006. When we've screened him the cardiologist detected a narrowed artery. It was clear for me, Nils could not be a breeding male. The castration was yet live-threatening for him but everything was going very well. Now he is very well and he is showing any sign that his heart has to work more than each other heart!
Now Nils is a big, big male. Several weeks ago a judge told me that Nils is too long and big for a Norwegian Forest Cat ;-)! When people see him they are just saying: Wow, what for a big cat. But he is so cute and doesn't know to apply his lengthness (more than one meter) and his weight (7.6kg). He prefers to babble with the humans on two legs and the animals on four legs...
So I'm enjoying each day with him and I hope we could have together still many of this sunny and easy days.
